    For over 16 years, Marc Krupanski has been actively involved in U.S.-based and international social justice and human rights related community organizing, advocacy and research. Currently, Marc works at DCAF: A Centre for Security, Development and the Rule of Law, where he conducts research on the human development impact of security sector reform, amongst other topics. Prior to joining DCAF, Marc was a staff member at the Center for Constitutional Rights, based in New York City, where he worked on criminal justice reform and oversight (focusing on police and prisons); migrants’ rights; and government surveillance and counterterrorism measures, amongst other areas. He has also conducted research and community-based field work in southern Mexico, Cuba, Haiti and the Diné (Navajo) Nation. Additionally, he has been involved in a range of community-based organizing and advocacy campaigns in the U.S., most notably related to policing, racial justice, immigration, and labor. Marc holds an undergraduate degree, with honors, in History and Latin American Studies from New York University and a Masters degree in International Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.
